       Many current quality problems of chrome plating are caused by poor current control, uneven current value distribution, high ends of the drum and low middle, resulting in poor local bonding and low hardness and instability of the chrome layer. Therefore, the current difference must be controlled well. Because the current difference between the two ends of the drum is a comprehensive manifestation of the conductivity of the plate drum during the electroplating process, whether the conductive parts are clean and whether the contact is good or not are all reflected in the current difference. The current difference has a great influence on the overall quality of the chromium layer, such as left and right uniformity, local adhesion, wear resistance and corrosion resistance, so it should be used as one of the main parameters to control the quality of chromium plating. Although some operators already have a certain understanding of electrical conductivity, they do not have enough understanding of the relationship between the current difference between the two ends of the drum and electrical conductivity. Therefore, management in this area must be strengthened.
 
(1) The conductive shaft should be in good contact with the carbon brush and the roller, and the surface contact should be achieved as much as possible. Otherwise, it is easy to be unstable when the AC power of the rectifier is changed to DC power or the anode is partially passivated during production.
 
(2) Keep the conductive parts clean and tidy, and clean them frequently.
 
(3) The mounting card must be firm, and the conductivity must be good.
 
(4) Power transmission method: the impulse current transmission method is adopted. After the plate cylinder is inserted into the tank, rotate for 1 to 2 minutes to preheat without passing current, and then send a large current quickly, and then drop to the normal current.
 
Note: We must pay attention to the preheating before chrome plating. If the preheating is not enough, the hot plating of the cold drum will easily burst and dechrome during printing.
